11. Destruction in Willemsdorp during the Second World War.

This photograph clearly shows the extent of the damage caused in Willemsdorp in May 1940. The houses and the barracks camp have been completely levelled. The Police Troops barracks also suffered heavy damage and was hit by at least four direct artillery strikes.
